Aisha Fields, O.D.

Dr. Aisha Fields grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Houston Baptist University. Dr. Fields received two letters of Clinical Excellence as a student clinician at UHCO. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society for all four years of optometry school. Dr. Fields is also a three-time award recipient of the UH Black Alumni Association's McDonald Scholarship which is awarded to students of the natural sciences, mathematics or optometry college exhibiting outstanding academic performance and achievement in campus and/or community leadership roles. Dr. Fields enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and providing primary eye care, with an emphasis on ocular disease. Dr. Fields is a member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She participated in a vision care mission trip to the indigent communities in Guerrero and Chihuahua, Mexico, and she plans to serve in many more trips. In her spare time, Dr. Fields enjoys traveling, community service, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on her favorite sports teams. Dr. Fields and her husband, Coach Justin Johnson, are excited to be in Kansas as a part of the Jayhawk family and look forward to exploring their new home town in Lawrence.
