Steve Cauble, O.D.

Dr. Steve Cauble received his BA in Biology from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tn. He also received extra training in pathology in New York. Dr. Cauble owned and operated his own practice in Liberal and Hugoton, KS for 33 years. He then worked for two years in Shawnee, Kansas for ophthalmologist Dr. Thompson. At Liberal he served 28 years on the Seward County Community College Board of Trustees. He also held leadership potions in the Noon Lions Club, First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Mexican American Ministries and Liberal Chamber of Commerce. For his service to the Liberal community, he was awarded the Distinguished Citizen Award and Merit Award from the Liberal Chamber of Commerce, the Melvin Jones Fellow Award from the Lions Club International and Citizen of the Year Award from the Southwest Daily Times. A member of the Kansas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association, he is a pas president and board member to he the state association. Volunteering and giving of yourself to others, is a deep seated believe of Dr. Cauble. He is a member of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Service toe Humanity), in which, he has traveled numerous time to Panama. He has also done other medical missions to Central American and Africa. Dr. Cauble and his wife Sally have two married children and three grandchildren.
